About me.
My Story.
People say they enjoy my gentle way of listening and drawing near.
My roots are in Christianity while honoring all the ways that people connect to Love or Source.
First place to look for me is by the water where I feel like I belong. For the past 3 years I have volunteered at Pt. Defiance Zoo as a Beach Walk Docent.
I loved my work at Tacoma Community College as a teacher and trainer. What a powerful sense of community was created there.
Other passions I have are dream work, art, and singing.
I live in Tacoma with my husband and my golden doodle.
This past summer I went on a trip to Sligo in Ireland. It was an exceptional time of feeling a union with all of creation – nature, earth, creatures, stones, plants, angels, water. Experiencing the holy is a gift given to all.
“Something opens our wings.
Something makes boredom and hurt disappear.
Someone fills the cup in front of us: We taste only sacredness.”

My Training.
I have delighted in my work as a spiritual companion over the last eight years. In 1995, I completed year one of my Spiritual Direction training at Mercy Center in Burlingame, California. When I retired 20 years later, it was the right time to complete Mercy Center’s three-year program in 2018. Mercy Center became my home away from home.
Going back farther, in 1990, I completed my master’s in education – learning specialist. I have spent my whole adult life working in teaching, consulting, and listening.
I am thankful for countless teachers that have mentored and taught me over the years. For over 30 years, I met with spiritual directors of many faiths. My present spiritual director, Maggie Arbino was my teacher at Mercy Center and has continued offering me her loving wisdom. I knew the first time I met Heather Ruce that she would also be my teacher and I continue to learn in classes with her. Her work is with Cynthia Bourgeault who is a bold mystic leading a way to show us how much Christianity and Physical Science are rooted together. J. Philip Newell in Christ of the Celts gave me the gift of Celtic Spirituality.
Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina, Meditation, Spiritual Exercises, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Dream Work, Somatic/Organic Intelligence are additional areas of training that enhance my work.
